Job Summary:
The Quality Engineering Manager will be responsible for overseeing investigations of quality issues, development of customer improvement plans, providing direction and coordinating daily tasks of the quality team, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Major Responsibilities:
Responsible for the investigation of OEM and Warranty returns. Responsible for the development and management of customer improvement plans. Responsible for maintaining product quality to the customer by complying with quality system plan and customer specifications. Responsible for assuring that proper handling and quarantine occurs for defective parts or product found. Responsible for assuring ISIR and PPAP submissions are completed in accordance to customer expectations. Must possess the ability to understand company policies and procedures and administer them fairly and consistently. Must possess the ability to provide leadership and guidance to subordinates in order to satisfactorily execute assigned responsibility. Must be able to manage projects and successfully meet required due dates. Must possess the ability to ensure customer reports are accurate, thorough and meet required due dates.
Minor Responsibilities:
Requires teamwork and participation of company activities such as IATF 16949, ISO9001, ISO14001 and Employee Involvement. Assure customer satisfaction in coordinating customer related issues and improvements. Requires effective communication and involvement with internal departments and related outside resources in both written and oral formats. Must be able to effectively communicate policies and procedures. Requires work with confidential data. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities. Maintain 5S standards. May require additional hours to support area of responsibility as needed. Some travel maybe required.
Key Competencies:
Ability to work in a cross-functional team environment and provide quality customer service. Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate. Project management skills with ability to gather and analyze data. Investigative and analytical skills to evaluate associate related issues and make judgements fairly and consistently.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field 8+ years of relevant leadership experience A combination of degree and experience can be considered

Annual Salary:
$94,000-$117,000
