Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and driven Civil Engineer with a strong background in land development and a passion for leadership. This position plays a key role in leading technical teams, delivering complex site development projects, and driving client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, manage, and deliver land development projects from concept through construction. Supervise and mentor a team of engineers and CAD technicians, fostering growth and ensuring technical excellence. Oversee the preparation of site/civil designs including grading, drainage, utility, and erosion control plans. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, regulatory agencies, and internal teams. Review and approve technical documents, plans, and reports to ensure quality and compliance. Maintain project schedules, budgets, and scopes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery. Conduct site visits, inspections, and provide engineering support during construction phases.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience with a focus on land development (residential, commercial, or mixed-use). 5+ years of experience leading, mentoring engineering staff. Active North Carolina P.E. license – Required . Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D – including grading, pipe networks, and surface modeling. Excellent communication, organizational, and client management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working with North Carolina local municipalities, regulations, and permitting processes. Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline. PMP certification or project management training is a plus.
