Director of Engineering Project Management – Power Generation Charlotte, NC (or Chicago, Omaha, Houston – Hybrid/On-site) Full-Time | Executive Level Conventional Power | EPC & Technical Services Lead the Future of Power. Shape National-Scale Projects. A leading national engineering firm is seeking a Director of Projects – Conventional Power to spearhead engineering project delivery across its gas-fired power portfolio. This is a rare opportunity to lead high-impact initiatives for Utilities and Independent Power Producers, overseeing both EPC execution and specialized consulting services in the power generation space. What You’ll Do As Director, you’ll be the driving force behind engineering project delivery, overseeing a diverse mix of EPC execution , technical consulting , and detailed design services. You’ll lead a national team of project management professionals, elevate our standards, and strengthen relationships with customers, partners, and OEMs.
Key responsibilities:
Overseeing engineering project management for gas-fired combined cycle power projects nationwide. Mentoring and developing future project leaders. Strategic customer engagement – enhancing services for existing clients and forging new partnerships. Driving best practices and operational excellence across project planning, delivery, and margin performance. Collaborating cross-functionally with Business Development, Engineering, and Operations teams.
