We are lookingfor an experienced Engineering leader to join our team inCharlotte, NC You will manage and grow a team of softwareengineers, manage and scale our portfolio of financial wellnessproducts, and provide technical partnership to our business andproduct teams. This role serves on OneMain’s Credit CardEngineering leadership team and has direct ownership of customerfacing applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead and grow theengineering team, with an active focus on hiring and onboarding newteam members to be successful in their roles.
  • Develop engineersto advance in their careers.
  • Ensure a reliable experience forOneMain customers across all properties, while simultaneouslyenabling a rapid pace of development and agile iteration.
  • Set thetone and direction for the engineering team, supporting a cultureof code quality, documentation, and thoughtful design tradeoffs.

Anticipate strategic and scaling challenges via intentionallong-term planning.

  • Break down projects into reasonable MVPs
  • Interface directly with company and technology leaders to ensureyour teams’ activities align with overall product and company goals
  • Oversee maintenance of a sustainable engineering platform whilealso shipping features at a steady clip
  • Ensure our productionapplications are stable and operating as expected
  • Guide teamleads along their career paths and provide feedback; overseecadence of meetings, code reviews and project management
  • Identifyand address bottlenecks early
  • Contribute to our strategictechnology planning
  • Assist with fleshing out, prioritizing, anddriving our product roadmap About you:
  • 8-10 years of experienceleading and managing engineering teams, preferably multiple teams,in an agile environment
  • 5 years of full time, full-stack webapplication development experience across frontend, backend, andinfrastructure and have a solid understanding of technicalfundamentals.
  • 3 years of experience working with Angular, IONICand typescript.
  • Strong track record of recruiting and retaininghigh performing engineering talent.
  • A history of hands-ontechnical ownership on high-impact engineering projects.
  • Strongcommand of verbal and written communication to drive alignment andcollaborate across functional teams.
  • Ability to interface withand influence leaders across an organization with poise
  • Competency to foster and build a culture of success, accountabilityand teamwork
  • Experience in guiding development of observablesystems with robust metrics and alerts
  • Overseeing build andconsumption of RESTful APIs
  • Ability to navigate in a nimbleenvironment and drive success in unknown territory
