OneMain Financial (OMF) is seeking a Vice President, ManagingDirector of Credit & Pricing Technology. As OneMain expands itsmarket verticals, a multi-product strategy is evolving to penetratemarkets through compelling customer engagement. Correspondingly,teams deliver products across a variety of platforms andtechnologies. Our products and platforms span AWS, Azure, IBMiSeries and zSeries, and OpenShift on-prem as part of a hybridstrategy. With both disparate technology delivery and varyingregulatory requirements, OneMain’s environment is both complex andevolving, supporting a broadening multi-product strategy. The VP-MDwill have delivered solutions which are mixed on-prem / AWS hybridand have demonstrated a drive toward building cloud-nativesolutions. This is a hands-on leadership role which provides anopportunity to solve complex business, data, and technicalchallenges. With OMF having both on-premise and cloud-basedoperations, the VP-MD balances a strategy which leverages bothwhile driving toward a cloud-first strategy, performing legacyplatform transformation where necessary. Along with cultivating theengineering talent on the platform teams, the VP-MD will beresponsible for driving modernization through iterativedevelopment, software craft, platform modernization, and automationwherever possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Accountable for theperformance of the staff, applications, platforms, and services insupport of credit and pricing execution.
  • Establish objectives andkey results (OKRs) for the Credit and Pricing technology function,working with peers and engineering leadership to align OKRs againstproduct priorities and business OKRs.
  • Inspire and cultivate anengineering-centric organization, motivating individuals to advancetheir craft. Attract new engineering talent which raises the bar ofplatform teams and further drives a zeal for software craft.
  • Direct the efforts to build new and modernize existing creditexecution platforms and services as cloud-native solutions runningin AWS.
  • Partner with Credit, Pricing, Data Science, and Digitalteams, to understand product roadmaps and to define and refine awell-aligned architectural vision and strategy for credit andpricing execution services.
  • Establish a prioritization andinteraction model between the platforms and product delivery teamswhich gains early visibility into business needs andprioritization, how platform work is prioritized and deconflictedacross product needs, and how platform improvements are drivenagainst business and product team needs.
  • Ensure platform deliveryis of a high quality with every release, raising the bar forquality, resiliency, performance, and testability for eachcomponent that you work on.
  • Operate across business verticals toincrease agility, drive common approaches, increase reuse, anddrive down total cost of ownership.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10 years ofexperience leading employee/contractor blended organizations.
  • 10years of experience and proficiency in managing multiple prioritiesin a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
  • 10 yearsworking with iterative and incremental delivery methodologies(e.g., SCRUM).
  • 10 years of experience selecting and negotiating3rd party products and services.
  • 10 years of experience definingcompelling job descriptions, attracting, and hiringindustry-leading talent, both in employee and contractor roles.
  • 5years of experience leading a data-centric organization inFinancial Services or other heavily regulated industry.
  • 5 yearsof experience leading on-prem to cloud-based technologyorganization transformation.
  • BA/BS Degree in computer science,hard sciences, or engineering is preferred, MS degree is desirableor equivalent professional experience as a substitute for eitherdegree
  • Experience delivering strategic presentations to executiveleadership, as well as public speaking experience as a technologydomain leader.

  • $225k, which is based on various factors includingskills, work experience, and location.

In addition to base salary,this role is eligible for a competitive additional compensationprogram that is based on individual and company performance. Thisrole is Hybrid. You should be located within a commutable distanceto one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC,Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX.
