Role description:

Arcadis is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV) Program Lead to join our team supporting a major pharmaceutical client in Holly Springs, NC. This role is integral to the successful delivery of a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with a project value exceeding $1 billion. The CQV Program Lead will oversee all CQV-related activities, manage cross-functional teams, and ensure alignment with client expectations, regulatory compliance, and project milestones. Role accountability

Program Leadership:

Lead the CQV program across all phases of the project, from planning through execution and turnover. Serve as the primary point of contact for CQV activities, representing Arcadis in interactions with the client, stakeholders, contractors, and regulatory authorities. Develop and maintain the overall CQV program schedule and strategy, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and alignment with the overarching project timeline.

Technical Oversight:

Manage and oversee the commissioning, qualification, and validation of systems, equipment, and processes, including utilities, HVAC, process systems, and automation. Ensure all CQV activities comply with FDA, EMA, and other regulatory standards, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Collaborate with engineering, construction, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of CQV requirements into the project lifecycle.

Team Management:

Lead a multidisciplinary CQV team, including internal Arcadis staff and external subcontractors. Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment. Drive accountability and performance across the team to meet project goals and client expectations.

Risk Management and Problem Solving:

Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to CQV activities. Resolve technical challenges and ensure the program stays on track and within budget. Develop contingency plans to address potential delays or deviations from regulatory standards.

Stakeholder Coordination:

Maintain strong communication channels with the client, ensuring transparency and alignment on objectives. Prepare and deliver progress reports, presentations, and documentation, including validation protocols and final reports. Coordinate with construction teams and vendors to ensure systems are installed and tested per CQV requirements.

Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related field. 10+ years of experience in CQV within pharmaceutical or biotech projects. Demonstrated experience leading CQV programs for large-scale manufacturing facilities, including 1B dollar projects. In-depth knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and validation principles. Strong leadership skills with experience managing multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Why Arcadis?
