Job Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION

The Design partnerships and initiatives lead is responsible for enhancing the design process, exhibiting design expertise, and building relationships with the broader design team. Throughout every stage of the selling process seek to provide opportunities to elevate the design client experience. Work to ensure all projects result in a win for the client, a win for Storr, and a win for the internal team members.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1.

Act as lead designer / client facing for assigned/ signature projects or pursuits/interviews. 2. Monitors Walls Dashboard + provides guidance for staffing alignments 3. Product strategy – owns product evaluation, vendor pricing contacts, vendor relationship, 4. Owns product strategy for the showroom – oversight of current collection status + new additions (including process + protocols) Including Dealer Showroom offers planning 5. Lead bids pursuit and requests for proposal process. Owning the overall structure initiation, product strategy, and LOE strategy. 6. Indeal champion + owns being the liaison to the broader design and sales team of resources 7. Owns research + trends expertise in assigned market (product strategy + trends) and leverages that information to gain recognition in the marketplace of the Storr Design brand. 8. Consultant of mock-ups planning 9. Leverages relationships with A+D 10. Design liaison for showroom tours- Super Host 11. Be constantly engaged and remain consultative to that respective group to share knowledge, connect dots, and provide guidance when needed. 12. Leads team to successfully execute projects/ initiatives by conducting key meetings, clearly establishing roles and responsibilities, and working with the team to develop and execute solutions. 13. Participates in key assigned initiatives internally to advance the direction of the design team. 14. Cultivates a strong partnership with Steelcase and other key vendors. 15. Proactively co-sells Storr’s design capabilities and services. Front end 16. Mentor Junior or Intermediate Designers through project pairings or as assigned 17. Meet project deadlines and keep accurate records of working time for design billings protocols 18.               MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS
              • 4-year Interior Design or Interior Architecture degree or balance of Associate degree and applicable experience
              • Furniture dealership background of 10+ years of specific industry experience
              • CET Designer Software expertise
              • In-depth knowledge of design trends and code requirements
              • Demonstrated successes in account relations and strategic design selling
