Manager, Product Engineering, Aerospace and Defense Summary:
This position will provide day to day leadership and focus on the execution of GaN-SiC semiconductor component projects for Aerospace and Defense markets, as well as for Industrial, Scientific, and Medical markets. The Product Engineering Manager will lead a team of product and test engineers responsible for New Product Introduction, which includes manufacturability assessment (Cpk), qualification, initial product sampling, production release, yield optimization, and customer engagement on quality initiatives.
The position is on-site in Morrisville, NC (Research Triangle Park area) Key responsibilities:
- Hands-on leadership of the Product and Test engineering team in support of all aspects of new product releases.
- Set timelines, budgets, and resources allocation to ensure timely execution of milestones
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to team members and peers
- Define test strategy for different product lines
- Drive continuous process improvements and engineering excellence
- Interface and collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. Design, Foundry, Program Management, Reliability, Hardware, Marketing, Sales and Operations) to ensure yield, test coverage and timeline goals are met for each product
- Support Operation Engineering team test program improvement and test cost reduction initiatives Key qualifications:
- BSc in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- MSc is a plus.
- 7 years of applicable experience
- Proven track record for production releases of several high volume IC products preferably for the RF Power markets.
- Good understanding RF Power semiconductor, including compound semiconductors such as GaN HEMT or similar.
- Experience with: Statistical analysis, problem solving methodologies, and making data-driven decisions Design for test (DFT) implementation and Test Plan Development ATE HW design and SW development Delivering robust & cost-effective test solutions
- In depth knowledge of: Software tools: (AGILE, Basic C# (C-Sharp) and C++) Statistical tools: (JMP, MATLAB, etc.
) ATE testers: Teradyne CAT, Chroma 3650 & Advantest 93
K Test Floor Equipment:
8″ & 12″ Prober (TSK and EG6000) & Epson 6040
Handler Lab Equipment:
Function Generator, VNA/PNA, Real-time Scope, High Speed Sampling Scope, Spectrum Analyzer, BERTs (NRZ/PAM4) and Optical system
