Mechanical Project Manager Job Description The Mechanical Project Manager is responsible for managing and administering project activities to ensure execution of the work in accordance with the company’s procedures and the contract documents at our lowest cost and risk. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all functions are completed correctly and in a timely manner, maintaining a strong customer relationship, and providing for future project opportunities. Responsibilities Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring that safe work systems are implemented. Support the creation and maintenance of an Incident and Injury Free Workplace. Work collaboratively and utilize SHE staff as a resource for strategic and tactical implementation of SHE processes and procedures. Promote positive public and community relations, with assistance from the Marketing/Business Development Department. Support Business Development Activities as required and in coordination with Marketing/Business Development Department. Independently manage projects including daily activities, staffing, P&L, cash flow, and reporting functions. Coordinate with administrative functions at site, regional, and corporate offices. Maintain a direct relationship and is responsible for subordinate team members and others as assigned. Ensure all applicable TFS procedures and tools are followed / used on each project. Establish and update project forecasts and lead PSR reviews. Coordinate with the assigned Project Accountant to ensure project is billed monthly. Ensure company assets assigned to the project are managed and kept in good working condition. Participate in post-job review meetings with the estimating group after project completion. Keep regional management updated on upcoming project opportunities, customer capital plans, and general market intelligence. Essential Skills Construction management experience. Mechanical contracting experience. Process piping experience. Industrial experience. Project management experience. Experience with pharmaceutical and semiconductor projects. 5+ years as a Project Manager or 15+ years of construction operations experience. OSHA 10 certification required; OSHA 30 preferred. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred. Work Environment Work will be conducted on construction sites, usually in advanced technology facilities like semiconductor and pharmaceutical plants. The initial project will be at a semiconductor plant, with a significant initial scope and potential for more projects. Per diem is available for those who live out of town or need to travel for work. The company is actively pursuing large projects nationwide.
