Job Description
Senior Azure Active Directory / Entra ID Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Azure Active Directory / Entra ID Engineer to support and enhance our cloud identity and directory services infrastructure. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), Active Directory, and identity security in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
Required Skills:
Directory Services
Deep knowledge of Entra ID (Azure AD) and Azure AD B2C
Strong experience with Active Directory and domain services
Expertise in identity federation and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
Proficient in Azure AD Connect and directory synchronization
Experience in managing hybrid and multi-forest identity environments
Capable of designing and implementing complex directory architectures, including Okta and Entra ID integrations across Government and Public Clouds
AD domain lifecycle management (create, upgrade, decommission)
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain directory service security best practices
Understanding of IAM principles and protocols
Knowledge of Zero Trust Security Strategy
Experience securing Azure applications using Key Vault, managed identities, etc.
Proficient in configuring Azure RBAC for access control
Technical Proficiency
Strong PowerShell scripting for automation
Basic knowledge of Windows networking
Familiar with Azure and Microsoft 365 services
Experience syncing permissions between on-prem and Azure environments
Knowledge of identity governance (entitlement management, access reviews)
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Azure Government Cloud
Kusto Query Language (KQL) for Azure log querying
Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Git, CI/CD pipelines
Understanding of PaaS security configurations and DevOps integration
Knowledge of Azure services like Data Lake, SQL, and Functions with a focus on security
