You’ll direct all aspects of engineering activities, provide technical guidance to the team, and implement opportunities for improvement that result in cost-effective and quality output. Responsibilities of the Manager, Engineering and Innovation Plan and direct activities and projects of the Engineering Team Manage the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design and changes Deliberate with management, production, and sales staff to determine project requirements Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities Develop, optimize, and continually improve efforts for equipment, material, process, tooling, and automation enhancements Attend trade shows, examine technology and market demands, and recommend feasible projects Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work Set scientific and technical goals of the organization Qualifications of the Manager, Engineering and Innovation B.S. in Plastics Engineering 5+ years’ hands-on injection molding experience Experience with programming of CMMs and vision systems Understanding of plastic molded part defects and their causes Ability to manage projects from inception to production Extensive knowledge on the care and use of a wide variety of measuring instruments Strong working knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and PFMEA requirements Excellent team-building, communication, and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and well-organized Ability to multitask and adjust priorities on the fly Good MS Excel, Word, and Access skills Please share your resume in confidence for this Manager, Engineering and Innovation opportunity.
