Job Description
Morgan Stanley Smith Barney LLC seeks an Assistant Vice President, Business Analysis in Jersey City, New JerseyQuantify and assess key client acquisition metrics, along with partnering with marketing stakeholders to drive efficient and effective marketing strategy. Provide insights into account and asset performance, digital conversion tracking, website activity and interaction, and marketing campaign impact. Develop and leverage intricate SQL coding to tie together data from different databases including DB2, Hadoop, and Snowflake. Leverage PowerPoint to visualize results for stakeholders. Create dynamically modifiable Tableau dashboards to allow deep dive into factors impacting performance. Track digital conversions from visitors to website using DataIKU, Hadoop, and Adobe Analytics. Identify webpages driving interest in our products and monitoring firm response to prospects. Track activity and sequence of interaction with webpages using Heap Analytics to identify roadblocks in acquiring clients and work with platform team to drive website improvements. Leverage Snowflake and DB2 databases to further relate website activity with funding activity using SQL data manipulation. Measure impact of digital marketing campaigns using statistics to design and implement A/B tests and multivariate tests. Work with digital campaign implementation partners like Localytics to ensure accurate implementation of campaigns. Measure outcome of these tests using R language and regression techniques. Manage use of technology structures by actively working on ensuring continuity in availability of infrastructure for data and data visualization needs. Assess dependencies and work with technology team to design a plan for required updates and database migrations. Telecommuting permitted up to 2 days per week.
Requires a Master’s in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and three (3) years of experience in the position offered or three (3) years as a Data Analyst, Decision Scientist or a related role. Requires three (3) years of experience with: developing end-to-end solutions for qualitative and quantitative measurement of conversion and asset performance and periodic monitoring to enable early interventions; extracting actionable insights and converting them to presentations for stakeholders; data wrangling using SQL in Hadoop and Snowflake; working across different databases and tools to merge data from multiple databases together; creating dashboards in Tableau using CustomSQL and Data blending; developing scripts for automated periodic read-outs; analyzing usage activity to provide insights into user behavior and pain-points in user experience; measuring user interactions and tracking customer journey; using statistical tests and regression models; designing, analyzing and interpreting the results of A/B tests; and leveraging propensity score matching to create similar test and control groups.
