Job Details We are looking for a SeniorTransportation Planning/Engineering Manager to join amultidisciplinary team of professionals focused on deliveringimpactful transportation projects. This role offers the opportunityto work on a wide variety of projects across New York’s CapitalRegion and beyond. The ideal candidate will have extensiveexperience in project management, transportation planning, andengineering, with a passion for community-focused solutions.

Responsibilities:

Oversee technical progress and preparedeliverables for transportation planning and design projects. Buildand maintain relationships with clients and develop partnershipsfor new business opportunities. Manage day-to-day staffing andproject scheduling. Lead complex transportation planning studiesand assist with proposal development. Develop and overseetransportation plans, analyses, and reports. Serve as a projectmanager for a range of projects, from basic to complex. Ensurequality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) across project documents.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior planners andengineers. Lead public and client meetings for complex projects.

Prepare invoices and manage project financials.

GeneralCharacteristics:

Uses creativity, foresight, and sound judgment tosolve new challenges. Leads complex projects with input frommultidisciplinary teams. Balances competing interests andpriorities within projects. Applies engineering economics and riskanalysis to solve complex problems. Demonstrates leadership andvision in project management and engineering solutions.

Experience:

10 years of experience in transportation planning and engineering.

Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or arelated field. Equivalent experience is also considered.

Licensure:

Professional Engineer (P.E.) License, with multi-state reciprocitypreferred.

Technical Responsibilities:

Develops standards andguidelines for transportation projects. Leads projects in areas ofspecialization and develops design alternatives that account forcommunity input, permitting, and other regulatory constraints.

Incorporates sustainability and advanced concepts into projectsolutions.

Project and Task Management:

Oversees technical, legal,and financial aspects of transportation projects. Developscomprehensive project management plans, incorporating teamcollaboration and effective leadership. Identifies projectobjectives and ensures the necessary resources are allocated.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
