Job Summary The Vice President of Cloud Engineering will beresponsible for enhancing and maintaining our private and publiccloud infrastructure, and driving the technical direction,innovation, and scalability of our Cloud Engineering and Operationsteams. The Vice President, Cloud Engineering will lead a team whichis responsible for operating, architecting and building keyinfrastructure that runs high availability services that ourcustomers and their businesses depend upon. ResponsibilitiesActively contributes toward the vision, strategy, organization andleadership of the cloud engineering function. Defines and enforcescloud engineering best practices, standards, and architecturalguidelines. Provides technical expertise, strategic direction andguidance to ensure the delivery of resilient, scalable, secure andefficient cloud-based solutions. This includes leadership andguidance related to automation, monitoring and performanceoptimization. Provides effective leadership in developing highlyengaged, high-performance cloud engineering teams, fostering acollaborative and inclusive work environment. Leads complex andhigh visibility end to end projects through design, budgeting,testing, implementation and performance monitoring. Implement andmaintain incident response and disaster recovery plans for thecloud infrastructure. Develop and implement cloud strategy tominimize failure, improve efficiency and reduce downtime. Ensureuptime, security, and efficiency of our cloud infrastructure, andestablish a culture of continuous improvement through analytics andmetrics. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science,Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred but notnecessary. Minimum ten years experience in Engineering orArchitecture. Minimum five years of experience with cloudinfrastructure. Minimum five years of experience leading SiteReliability Engineering (SRE) teams. Solid understanding of SREpractices, DevOps, and agile methodologies. Experience withcomprehensive technology delivery that is secure and reliableincluding disaster recovery planning and operations, storage areanetwork and redundant, highly available server and networkarchitectures. Ability to analyze data/information and utilize keyoperating metrics to guide decisive decision making and clearlyarticulate the decisions to the intended audience. Strategicthinking capabilities with the ability to envision, articulate, andplan complex deliverables to align with the company’s goals andfinancial needs. Strong leadership and management skills; abilityto select, develop, and motivate talent to address skill andcapability gaps. Ability to develop, communicate, and embed bestpractice procedures both within a large team and across otherfunctional areas. Outstanding written and verbal communicationskills with the ability to communicate cross-functionally at alllevels of the organization. The starting payrate/range at time of hire for this position in the posted locationis $178,500.00 – $255,000.00 / year. The rate/range provided hereinis the anticipated pay at the time of hire, and does not reflectfuture job opportunity.
