Director of Engineering Position Available In New York, New York

• Own our core product Engineering area, leading and organizing multiple engineering teams currently (25+ people), to enable high quality deliveries and impactful results
• Manage, motivate and develop engineering managers, senior engineering managers and staff level individual contributors
• Confer with other top executives to determine goals and road map of our product
• Drive critical technical and architectural decisions; develop and implement best practices for efficiency, quality, and innovation across the organization; and
• Partner with the human resources and people teams to attract, assess, engage, hire and retain top engineering talent; and
• Direct, coordinate or provide strategic guidance on the engineering organization’s financial or budget activities to fund operations, maximize investments, and increase efficiency.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor’s in Computer Science or a related field or foreign equivalent, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience as a Director of Engineering or an equivalent role. Experience must include

• 5 years experience leading, building, and managing multiple high performing engineering teams with clear delivery results and business impact
• 5 years experience guiding design and architectural projects
• 5 years partnering with product teams to influence and drive product roadmap
• 5 years experience with Typescript
• 5 years experience with payment processing and enterprise business-to-business (B2B) software
• 5 years experience managing software system reliability and resiliency.

Telecommuting permitted anywhere in the U.S.Travel expected 4x per year for domestic travel for company meetings.

Salary $262,288.00

• $352,000.
