Who You Are:
You are a trusted partner to the Product Development and Supply Chain organizations and will serve as a key role in the execution of various product costing processes for Footwear. This position serves as a liaison to Product Development, Design and Merchandising as it relates to cost data. This position will analyze data and report out on trends and cost drivers.
What You’ll Do:
Own the entire costing process from the inception of the seasonal design sketch, market preparation to cost finalization for all off-price divisions Lead cross-functional Seasonal Costing meetings (Product Development, Design, Merchandising, Materials) Own and drive cost negotiation and finalization with factory’s management team Spearhead duty engineering of shoes in both dress and active categories by proactively engaging Logistics department Drive Pre-Costing Process by providing product cost estimates from CAD or sketches, in efforts to proactively provide strategic guidance to Design team on how to design cost effective product before the actual sampling begins Own the validation of Cost Breakdown Sheets and approval of FOB cost as well as tooling investments Own the communication with finance regarding off price margin and cost variance against the target IMU Maintain various internal systems with the most updates costs (excel shared document, PLM and RLM) for all costing milestones and ad-hoc needs Own the creation and maintenance of the divisional master data files containing all costing and production order data for all Footwear division Analyze the master data at micro and macro level in order to understand the order trend in terms of $, pairs by factory, COO and production category, in order to support the divisional strategies on factory allocation and diversification Drive opportunities in establishing formula or tools to streamline process around data management Drive the annual standardization of various charges based on historical data You’ll Need to
Have:
5-10 years of experience performing product costing activities and gross margin analysis in a large or mid-level company In-depth knowledge of Footwear cost breakdown sheets, manufacturing accounting processes and the ability to identify relevant cost drivers In-depth knowledge of Footwear customs import duty classifications Ability to estimate costs from sketch or CAD of shoes Expertise in identifying the cost drivers and driving to optimal resolutions in terms of construction or components Situational leadership in managing communications with various groups of level of audience and stake holders : design, management or factories We’d Love to
