Senior Engineering Manager DUTIES:

Act as the technical leader for a product area, composed of several engineering groups. Coordinate and be accountable for execution of work by several different engineering teams. Act as hiring manager for backend engineers and form/lead interview committees for open positions. Work with both individual contributor and manager direct reports on career development. Manage collaborations between engineers in the assigned group and engineers from stakeholder groups. Consult with external product managers in the discovery phase of greenfield ad serving features. Help define technical strategy for the ad serving platform and plan out resultant work. Oversee the design and implementation of engineering projects for several engineering teams. Monitor, evaluate, and act to improve engineering team performance. Ensure engineering work is completed by commitment dates. Lead cost savings infrastructure work for assigned teams. Ensure engineering solutions are compliant with music label agreements and regulations. •Telecommuting permitted: work may be performed in any location in the U.S. •Domestic and international travel required 10% of the time.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Master’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or a related role OR Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or closely related field and seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have five (5) years of experience with a Master’s degree or seven (7) years of experience with a Bachelor’s degree with: Designing ad platforms and systems. Must have five (5) years of experience with: Leading the development of commercial software in Java; and Demonstrated expertise in distributed systems or backend infrastructure at scale. Must have three (3) years of experience with Managing multiple projects simultaneously with different stakeholders. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Sourcing, hiring, and growing a software development team made up of 10 or more hires; and Strategy planning and stakeholder management experience.

SALARY:

$255,944 to $354,340 / year

WORK SCHEDULE

9am to 5pm, 40 hours a week. (Monday – Friday)
