Vice President (Exotic Credit Trading) Position Available In New York, New York

Vice President (Exotic Credit Trading) for BNP Paribas Securities Corp. in New York, NY, to structure, price, and manage credit exotic risk, spanning retail structured products, light exotic derivatives, and correlation products within a client-focused trading team. Structures will include Credit Linked Notes, Credit Linked Notes fixed recovery, Credit Linked Notes Lifters, Quanto and Hard-Currency Credit Linked Notes, N-to-default swaps/notes, Warrants, Index Tranches, Index Tranches 0 Recovery, Bond Repacks, Xccy-Bond Repacks, Leveraged Bond Repacks, First-to-Default Bond repacks, and Repacks with CDS overlay. Price and trade exotic derivatives as requested by clients. Execute risk hedges in credit, rates, and Foreign Exchange (FX) to manage the risk profile for the product and desk. Perform market analysis to identify growth opportunities for the business and expand market share. Attend client calls, meetings, and events to educate clients on the payoffs traded by the desk and expand BNPP’s brand. Manage trade bookings, settlements, and trade lifecycle checks in coordination with Operations teams. Work with Quantitative Research and Technology teams to enhance pricing models and strategic risk management systems. Review and provide commentary for drivers of daily profit and loss for the desk.

Requires:

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field plus six (6) years of experience in a Vice President (Exotic Credit Trading) or similar occupation performing structured credit trading with exotic products within an international bank or financial institution or, alternatively, a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Financial Engineering, Operations Research, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in a Vice President (Exotic Credit Trading) or similar occupation performing structured credit trading with exotic products within an international bank or financial institution. Specific skills/other requirements – Must also possess the following (quantitative experience requirements not applicable to this section): Demonstrated Expertise (DE) structuring, pricing, and managing risk for credit exotics payoffs; DE managing the trade lifecycle, including managing trades and structured notes from the moment they are traded through to their settlement; DE leveraging Python, R, or VBA programming languages, and leveraging Excel and Bloomberg for trading activities; DE working with Structures Notes issuance vehicles, and Profit & Loss attribution and reconciliation; FINRA SIE, Series 7, and Series 63 Required.

Salary Range:
