Vice President of Construction Services Position Available In Saratoga, New York

Vice President of Construction Services Confidential Waterford, NY 12188 Position Waterford, NY-based Detention Equipment and Miscellaneous Steel contractor and manufacturing client. They are seeking an experienced Project Executive to join their team. The Project Executive will be responsible for ensuring the Company goals are met including, but not limited to, business development, planning and scheduling, resource allocation, recruiting and training, project management, project accounting and control, sales, estimating, purchasing, providing technical direction and ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards. Responsibilities

• Manage daily operations including responsibility for P/L.
• Ability to review and negotiate contract terms to minimize exposure and risks.
• Oversee and direct project staff in project planning, management, budgeting, and identification of resources.
• Ensure project staff maintains aggressive schedules to complete projects on time.
• Ensure projects are built in accordance with contract terms, approved plans, change orders or revisions.
• Solicit and negotiate pricing with new trades and suppliers.
• Project control and accounting functions including managing budgets, tracking expenses and minimizing exposure and risks.
• Maintain positive relationships with Company Leadership, project staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and client representatives.
• Communicate effectively with project staff and contractors responsible for completing assigned tasks.
• Ability to demonstrate initiative to make projects happen; not let them happen.
• Ensure project staff maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
• Develop key performance indicators, evaluate staffing performance and hold staffing accountable to project standards, strategic company goals and objectives.
• Determine current and future staffing needs to ensure efficiency and consistent execution among all projects.
• Various duties as assigned. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or Engineering preferred.
• Detention equipment and metal fabrication experience preferred.
• Minimum 15 years of experience estimating and managing construction projects.
• Minimum 5 years in a Leadership Supervisory role including P/L management.
• Ability to lead and manage a team of technical experts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of legal issues and safety standards is essential.
• Effective time management and organizational skills.
• Capacity to handle pressure on a daily basis.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Various Project Management Software, Microsoft Project or P6 Scheduling Software.
