Engineering & Development Manager Penn Technical Staffing Towanda, PA 18848 A well-established manufacturer of refractory metal powders located in Towanda, PA is seeking an Engineering & Development Manager. This person will manage all engineering and development activities for tungsten heavy alloy components and other refractory metals. The role ensures that manufacturing operations perform within budget, meet forecasted sales and scheduled shipments, conform to all safety and environmental regulations, and produce products that meet established quality standards and customer expectations. Additionally, the position leads research and development efforts for new products and processes, aiming to improve the overall cost-efficiency of current products and processes to increase sales and profitability. This includes generating ideas, researching established and new technologies, and exploring new applications for products. The role requires expertise in various fields, including metallurgy, and involves communicating results both orally and in written form, while interacting with manufacturing personnel, customers, subordinates, peers, and upper-level management.

Job requirements:

BS Degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Material Science, or Chemistry. A PhD or Master of Science degree in the relevant field is preferred; 3 to 5 years of leadership experience in Powder Metallurgy, Tungsten, Molybdenum, or Refractory Metal Production. #IND
