About the role As Director of SoftwareDevelopment for the Brokerage organization at Paxos, you will be atthe forefront of building and maintaining market-leading cryptobrokerage solutions for the worlds most demanding broker-dealers.

You will leverage your deep expertise in modern technologies andprocess-driven leadership to drive strategic direction, criticaltechnology decisions, and operational excellence. In this role, youwill empower engineering teams to deliver high-performance,scalable, and secure systems, ensuring Paxos remains the trustedpartner for top-tier financial institutions. What you’ll do Leadand scale high-performing teams: Manage and mentor multiplesoftware engineering teams, driving technical excellence andensuring business success for an independent business unit thatgenerates tens of millions in annual revenue and hundreds ofmillions in daily gross trading volume.

Own end-to-end engineeringexecution:

Oversee the design, development, and deployment ofbrokerage components and tooling, ensuring they align with bothbusiness objectives and technical requirements to deliverbest-in-class solutions.

Drive cross-functional collaboration:

Partner with Product, Growth, Customer Success, and otherengineering teams to define project scope, set priorities, andexecute on a roadmap that meets customer and business needs.

Upholdengineering excellence:

Establish and enforce best practices incode quality, testing, security, and documentation to ensurelong-term system reliability and maintainability.

Optimizeresources for impact:

Lead resource planning, budget allocation,and project prioritization, maximizing productivity and ensuringthe highest return on engineering investments. Foster a culture ofinnovation and growth: Provide technical guidance and mentorship,empowering engineers at all levels to grow, innovate, and solvecomplex challenges. Scale the team with top talent: Play a key rolein recruiting, hiring, and onboarding world-class engineers,building a strong, cohesive, and high-performing engineeringorganization. About you Proven leadership in engineering: You have15 years of experience in software engineering, including 7 yearsin a management role, leading global, distributed, andmulti-layered engineering organizations.

You have successfully built and delivered enterprise-grade B2B andB2C products that drive hundreds of millions of dollars inrevenue/ARR while maintaining world-class performance andreliability.

Technical excellence in brokerage solutions:

You havedeep expertise in developing high-performance, highly availablebrokerage solutions with tier-1 SLAs, including 99.999% uptime.

Talent development & mentorship: You have a strong track record ofdeveloping and scaling top engineering talent, mentoringengineering managers, staff engineers, and senior engineers toachieve their highest potential.

Cross-functional collaboration:

You excel at working across teams—partnering closely with Product,Growth, Customer Success, and Business Development—to ensureengineering solutions meet the rigorous demands of the worlds topbroker-dealers.

Eligibility for bonuses is dependent on job level, and actualsalary within the range depends on your skills, experience, andqualifications. Expected range for the base salary component forcandidates located within the United States is: $276,285—$325,041USD
