Job Description
•Hybrid Position•Firstrust Bank is seeking a Manager, Lead MuleSoft Integration Engineer to lead the design and implementation of enterprise integration solutions. This high-impact role involves overseeing the development and maintenance of APIs and data pipeline integrations between legacy systems, the Salesforce platform, and external vendor applications, while driving the modernization of ETL processes as part of our digital transformation journey.
As part of the Digital Strategy & Platforms team, you will manage the Digital Integrations group and serve as the subject matter expert on integration architecture and the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. You will work cross-functionally with technology and business teams to define requirements, architect solutions, and ensure scalable, reliable, and secure integration solutions that support Firstrust’s digital transformation vision and ability to deliver seamless, customer-centric experiences through connected systems and data.
The Engineer is an expert in data integration in financial services, possessing advanced knowledge of interfaces, financial services and banking systems, and operational workflows. The Engineer brings strong technical leadership and enjoys mentoring others, sharing expertise, and aligning technology solutions with business objectives.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design, architecture, development, and deployment of APIs and integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
Define and drive the enterprise integration strategy across all business units, aligning with long-term digital initiatives.
Manage the Digital Integrations team including mentoring, code review, and performance management.
Serve as the primary point of contact for all integration initiatives, working with internal and third-party teams.
Translate business and technical requirements into well-architected solutions.
Modernize legacy integration and batch ETL processes with real-time, event-driven services.
Enforce best practices for API development, security, error handling, and performance optimization.
Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and uptime across all integrated applications.
Troubleshoot and support existing interfaces and resolve integration issues across platforms.
Participate in IT governance, architecture reviews, and cross-functional planning.
Maintain accurate technical documentation and integration specifications.
Stay current on industry trends and new technologies that improve integration capabilities.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
5+ years of integration experience, including 2+ years in a leadership or team lead role.
Proven expertise in designing and developing APIs and system integrations using MuleSoft Anypoint PlatformHands-on experience with RESTful APIs, RAML/OpenAPI specifications, and enterprise messaging patterns (Pub/Sub, Event Streaming).Strong understanding of Salesforce integration models and ETL modernization.
Deep experience in financial services, banking systems, or similar regulated environments.
Proficient in writing integration flows, data transformations, and exception handling using DataWeave.
Familiarity with security protocols (OAuth 2.0, TLS, SAML, etc.) and API lifecycle management.
Solid knowledge of integration testing methodologies and CI/CD practices for APIs.
Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
MuleSoft Certification (Developer, Integration Architect, or Platform Architect) preferred.
Experience with other integration platforms (e.g., Informatica) preferred.
Familiarity with DevOps tooling.
Bachelor’s in computer science, Information Systems, or related field preferred.
