Job Description

Mechanical Project Manager LVI is seeking a dynamic and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a technically proficient engineer with strong leadership capabilities and a passion for delivering high-quality mechanical systems across a variety of building types, including healthcare, higher education, government, and mission-critical facilities. As a Mechanical Project Manager, you will oversee the full project lifecycle-from concept through construction-ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and on-time, on-budget delivery. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams and serve as a key liaison between clients, consultants, and internal stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Lead mechanical engineering design and project management for complex building systems. Coordinate with clients, architects, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery. Manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to meet client expectations and internal goals. Oversee the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and technical reports. Conduct quality assurance reviews and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team culture. Participate in business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Professional Engineer (P.E.) license preferred or ability to obtain licensure. 8+ years of experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a project management role. Proven experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems design. Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design and project management tools. Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Experience working on healthcare, higher education, or government projects is a plus.
