Job Overview:

We are looking for a Technical Leader in our Data Analytics and BI team to work closely with Product Managers, business-driven analytics teams, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to support building out a unified platform for the future of computing to deliver insights from data.
In this technical leadership role, you’ll spearhead a comprehensive transformation of data warehouse and semantic layer design to simplify complex data storage systems and build analytics applications. Leveraging AWS, Snowflake, Tableau, and other cutting-edge technologies, you’ll drive forward our mission of providing unparalleled data and analytics services to our independent advisors, firms, and large institutional clients. Beyond client services, you’ll champion the democratization of analytics, ensuring that our internal teams can access, analyze, and act upon data insights more efficiently than ever.
Responsibilities
As VP, of Data & Analytics Technology, you will be entrusted with a range of critical responsibilities that are pivotal to our mission and our strategic outcomes.
Proactively drive the vision for data foundation and analytics to accelerate building and improvement of cross-platform components
Provide vision and direction to modernize and evolve the BI and Analytics practice; partner with the rest of the Data teams and Enterprise Architecture group to evolve and mature LPL data technology and architecture to meet current and future needs.
Formulate strategies to grow and leverage the LPL data platform to solve complex business issues with sustainable, scalable and thoughtful BI and Analytics products and services.
Partner with the Information Security and the Data Trustees to ensure the highest levels of security while also providing readily available data in the format that meets the stakeholder needs.
Evaluating, experimenting and implementing modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) based data technologies in a cost-effective manner.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and work closely with all verticals to enable large-scale use cases, design ML pipelines.
Data Science and Data Engineering for Structured and unstructured data, Relational and distributed data models
Proven ability to design, articulate, and deliver complex, large-scale AI/ML solutions that are scalable, robust, secure, and resilient
Oversee, monitor, manage and improve the quality and delivery of the BI and Analytics products and services.
Design, build, and launch collections of sophisticated data models and visualizations that support use cases across different products or domains.
Optimize pipelines, dashboards, frameworks, and systems to facilitate easier development of data artifacts.

Requirements:

12+ years in a technical management capacity in an enterprise with a high performing technical team
7+ years utilizing large-scale Analytic/MPP data warehouse platform (Redshift, Snowflake, etc.)
5+ years of experience in Visualization Tools like Tableau and Power BI
5+ years of experience in a data engineering role to build Highly scalable large data pipelines
Hands-on experience with the creation and automation of Data pipelines and Machine learning pipelines, model training, testing, and deployment using Airflow, EMR, Glue, etc.
Proven track record in leading large-scale data warehouse and analytics transformation initiatives, particularly in cloud-based environments (AWS required).
Technical Competencies
Strong experience with data lake architectures, data warehousing solutions (e.g., Snowflake), and real-time data processing systems.
Expertise in implementing AI/ML solutions at scale, leveraging modern machine learning frameworks and platforms.
Leadership experience managing and growing engineering teams, with a focus on fostering talent and innovation.
Strong understanding of data modeling concepts, including OLTP (3NF) and OLAP (star/snowflake schema) data structures for Enterprise Data Warehouses, Data Marts and Operational Data Stores
Experience in Conventional/ near real time Data Warehousing, Data distribution architectures, Service Oriented Architectures
Proven leadership in executing transformative projects, with a strong command of modern cloud-based data processing, analytics, and AI/ML, utilizing the AWS technology stack.
Skilled in crafting robust data ecosystems optimized for high-volume, real-time operations, employing databases such as RDS, NoSQL, along with advanced data technologies like Snowflake and BI tools such as Tableau.
Deep understanding of modern workplace practices including Domain-Based Design, DevSecOps, Continuous Delivery, and Agile methodologies, with an emphasis on Lean principles.
Cloud Architecture certification preferred
DevOps experience with Cloud Formation, Data, and ML pipeline experience.
Experience within the financial sector, especially in wealth management, securities, and trading, is preferred.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Pay Range:

$163,875-$273,125/year
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
