What You’ll Be Doing As the Director of Engineering at LMGSI , you’ll direct, oversee, and coordinate all operations and activities of the Engineering department. This includes the planning, design, inspection, and contract administration of all engineering-related projects, ensuring they align with our strategic vision and deliver exceptional results. ✅ Strategic Leadership & Vision
- Understand and integrate the broader business context into engineering operations, aligning with LMGSI’s vision and driving strategic outcomes ✅ Financial & Operational Oversight
- Monitor and report on engineering utilization, project profitability, and overall financial health of the department ✅ Talent Acquisition & Development
- Recruit, train, and develop new internal and subcontract engineering talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth ✅ Innovation & Quality Assurance
- Integrate innovative solutions to accelerate project outcomes while enforcing stringent quality control and assurance standards for all designs and implementations ✅ Standards & Best Practices
- Institute and enforce CAD and documentation standards that meet and exceed program expectations, ensuring consistency and excellence for LMGSI projects ✅ Project Team Management
- Assign appropriate engineering teams to awarded projects, overseeing internal kick-offs to ensure successful launches and ongoing collaboration with Project Managers ✅ Technical & Management Support
- Monitor engineering assignments, identify areas where management and technical reinforcement are needed, and make necessary adjustments ✅ Continuous Education Programs
- Develop and maintain effective and continuous education programs for all members of the Engineering Office, keeping the team at the forefront of technology ✅ Inter-Departmental Collaboration
- Take a leadership role in resolving communication issues, refining procedures, and optimizing methods by working closely with Project Management and other departments ✅ Sales & Project Estimation
- Provide expert guidance for sales labor estimation and technical project approaches, ensuring accurate proposals and feasible solutions ✅ System Expertise
- Demonstrate a comprehensive working knowledge of both integration and broadcast AV systems, as well as facility and architectural systems What We’re Looking For Proven experience in a leadership role within AV systems engineering or integration Deep technical knowledge of integrated and broadcast AV systems, facility, and architectural systems Strong understanding of project management principles and contract administration Ability to strategically align engineering operations with broader business goals Excellent communication, leadership, and team development skills A hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment Proficiency in CAD and documentation standards Why Join LMGSI?
