Job Description
DescriptionAmazon’s Transportation Operations Management (TOM) Product and Services team is driving change in the Middle Mile. The TOM team is looking for a Program Manager to work within the TOM Program Management Office (PMO) to help drive implementation, measurement and Amazon mechanisms. In this role, you would be responsible for coordinating across the organization to successfully launch and integrate new tech innovations and operational processes to be used in TOM’s Transportation, Yard, and Gate operations. In 2025 and beyond, TOM will be rolling out innovative tech driven product solutions along with establishing a best-in-class centralized Program Management Office (PMO) to help drive overall TOM in-yard and on-the-road operations. The TOM PMO leads strategic organization communication, change management and process improvement and product launch integration to all TOM sites in NA. These mechanisms identified and implemented will provide a better product engagement and ensure an overall better execution and implementation for all tech and our associates in the yard while being able to scale with Amazon’s ever-growing fulfillment network. As a Program Manager you will oversee and manage strategic communication and process improvement by partnering with various team members across TOM and Technology (Tech) organization and Yard Automation (YA). - Analyze, implement and monitor best practice solutions
- Identify areas to implement and drive scale through mechanisms
- Lead large scale project teams and successfully manage project launches across multiple stakeholders and dispersed geographies.
- Write compelling business proposals for process improvements with data led solutions
- Build project plans, balancing business needs with project risks and resource availability
- Coordinate cross-team efforts at a global scale to drive standardization
- Identify appropriate performance metrics for each program and ensure consistent measurement and accountability
- Manage financial entitlement and cost saving business justification.
About the team TOM PMO charter is to establish, uphold and implement strategic program management standards, mechanisms, best practices and project execution for the TOM organization for collaboration across Amazon Transportation Services (ATS) within three key pillars to support TOM’s mission/vision: 1) Strategic Communications, 2) Change Management & Process Improvement and 3) Product Launch Integration.
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years of program or project management experience
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadershipPreferred Qualifications
- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market.
