Since entering the LIHTC space in 2020, they have rapidly expanded their portfolio to 6,000 units across seven states and have a robust 10-year plan. They are seeking a Vice President of Asset Management to take ownership of portfolio performance, enhance operational efficiencies, and build a best-in-class asset management platform. The Opportunity The VP of Asset Management will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing a diverse multifamily portfolio, with a primary focus on LIHTC and workforce housing assets. This role will require a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on execution working across finance, operations, and third-party management to improve portfolio performance. This is a high-impact role for a commercial real estate professional with deep experience in multifamily asset management, value creation strategies, team leadership, and portfolio oversight. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, process-oriented, and proactive in driving both top-down and bottom-up improvements across the platform. Key Responsibilities Lead the asset management team (3 direct reports) to drive operational efficiency and ensure the portfolio meets financial and social impact objectives. Establish Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), KPIs, and reporting cadences to create a structured, data-driven asset management function. Serve as the key liaison between lenders, limited partners (LPs), third-party property managers, and internal leadership to ensure alignment and performance accountability. Monitor and mitigate regulatory risks, loan covenant compliance, and financial underwriting assumptions. Work closely with regional property management firms to ensure execution of business plans and property-level improvements. Mentor and scale the asset management team, fostering a high-performance culture focused on execution, accountability, and continuous improvement.
