IICRC Preferred Job Summary:

The Mitigation/Remediation Crew Chief is responsible for leading a team in the execution of water, fire, mold, and other property damage restoration projects. This role ensures projects are completed efficiently, safely, and according to industry standards (e.g., IICRC). The Crew Chief acts as the on-site leader, communicating with clients, managing job documentation, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and direct field technicians during mitigation and remediation jobs. Set up and monitor drying equipment (e.g., dehumidifiers, air movers). Perform demolition, cleaning, and deodorization as needed. Ensure safety protocols and company procedures are followed on-site. Communicate clearly with customers, providing updates and answering questions. Document job progress using company software (e.g., photos, moisture readings, daily notes). Perform moisture inspections and record readings accurately.

Qualifications:

Minimum 1 year experience in water/fire/mold mitigation required. IICRC certification strongly preferred. Clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

Must be available for emergency on-call shifts, including nights and weekends. Indoor/outdoor environments, possibly in extreme conditions (e.g., post-fire, flooded properties).
