The JOB:

Engineer The Maintenance/Engineer is responsible for maintaining the physical building, engineering systems, and grounds at the resort. In this key role, you will work directly with other departments and vendors, and ensure repairs are completed, timely, accurately and as quickly as possible so as not to interrupt the guest experience

Requirements:

Maintain all equipment and systems consistent with the preventative maintenance program to insure minimal downtime
Prioritize and complete maintenance work orders timely and accurately, ensuring that the items that can create the largest exposure are done first
Complete maintenance work orders, such as clogged toilets, drywall repair, electrical, plumbing in a timely manner and consistent with the hotel’s standard operating procedure
Respond to guest requests, including maintenance emergencies timely and efficiently
Conduct yourself in a professional and friendly manner, when interacting with the hotel guests and always maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Complete paperwork and file in the appropriate files upon completion of service/maintenance work requests
Able to diagnose problems using meters and gauges, and other measuring units
Ensure the curb appeal of the grounds and buildings are maintained and all debris is removed by completion of daily walk throughs and inspections
Manage inventory levels and inform management if supplies are low and need to be ordered
Ensure that safety and security protocols are followed and report any deficiencies that could impact the hotel, guests or other team members
Insure uniform and personal appearance is clean and professional

Education & Experience:

Three years of experience in the facilities maintenance engineering, preferably in hospitality or property management
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, boiler operations and general maintenance skills required
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Ability to use the computer Physical Demands Ability to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to squat and bend
Ability to work long hours as needed
Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance, up to 100 with assistance Mental Demands Able to work independently
Must be able to handle stressful conversations
Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality
