Job Description Purpose:
In this role you will be responsible for developing Controls & Ancillary products sales within the assigned territory to consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, owners, and select dealers. You will also establish new accounts, increase volume with existing accounts, and introduce new products and programs.
Job Responsibilities:
Candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Obtain sales by working with HVAC consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, plant managers, government representatives; and assist in project design, specifications and selections towards both the customer’s and Carrier’s best interests.
Analyze customer needs with respect to several alternate solutions using Carrier’s products/services.
Maintain current knowledge of product and competition in Chillers, Airside, Packages, Splits, Controls, VRF, and others, and system characteristics, including operation costs, specs, performance, etc.
Establish and develop estimates, quotations, and bids for new and existing customers.
Service the customer after the sale and during installations/service to ensure satisfaction and to promote future business.
Responsible for consistently planning effective sales activities. Provide maximum selling time.
Have good knowledge of buildings’ characteristics and needs in different industries such as Hotels, Hospitals, Manufacturing facilities, Offices, Education facilities, and others.
And here is what you will need to be successful:
Education:
BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering with 5-7+ years HVAC and HVAC Control Systems experience preferred
Requirements:
Knowledge of HVAC design, technologies and application tools
Must be results oriented and a team player.
Ability to present to and effectively communicate with all customers and management levels.
Demonstrated Project Management & negotiation skills
Candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
A strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is a must
Must be fully bilingual (read/write/speak)
English/Spanish Additional Comments:
The candidate must be willing to work in a high pace, high stress environment
