The Refrigeration Engineer is an important role in ensuring thesmooth operation of our ships. As the Refrigeration Engineer, youwill be responsible for preparing and executing the requiredmaintenance and operation of the HVAC and refrigeration systemsunder the direction of the Chief Refrigeration Engineer. Thisparticular position is a floating par to allow exposure aboardvessel classes without a 1st Refrigeration Engineer par onboard.

Career snapshot:
  • Coordinates, operates, repairs and maintains all the functions ofall air conditioning, dampers, laundry lint/wax filters, hoodsystems, ventilation equipment, refrigerated catering equipment,and refrigerated mini-bars
  • Assists the Chief Refrigeration Engineer in the operation andmaintenance of chiller units, air handlers, controllers, andworking temperatures throughout the vessel
  • Provides training of division personnel in safety procedures andassigned duties
  • Assists the Chief Refrigeration Engineer with setting thedivisional budget proposals and following targets (Depending on theprojects, the relative vessel budgets run from $1 to $ 5million)
