One of the region’s quickest-growing MEP Engineering firms iscurrently hiring for an experienced Plumbing Designer who will workdirectly with the Principal/Project Lead to develop design conceptsto be incorporated into the final project. This firm works onHealthcare, University, Laboratories, Government,Mixed-Use/Multi-Family and Commercial facilities. Plumbing DesignerResponsibilities The Plumbing Project Engineer, in role of projectleader, may begin to handle some project management tasks but willprimarily work on technical aspects Provides schematic designinformation to Lead Project Engineer, such as mechanical room sizesand requirements. Incorporates design concepts from schematicdesign into design development and work with project team toproduce construction documents. Mentoring of junior staff,including Entry Level/Design Engineers and interns Provides complexdesign work, major services, mechanical rooms, etc. Producessketches and systems schematics for complicated design tasks, suchas layout of mechanical or electrical rooms
ConstructionAdministration:
Attends construction meetings and producesobservation reports. Participates in final shop drawing reviews.
Provides construction inspection and RFIs. Provides punch listingand/or review Participates in trade QA/QC. Reviews drawings anddocuments to assure compliance with company design and productionstandards. Plumbing Designer Qualifications 4-6 years overallexperience with Plumbing Design and Engineering Bachelor of Sciencein Engineering required. FE, LEED and/or PE preferred., or activelyworking towards Must be proficient in the use of computer fordesign and must understand CAD/BIM operations This is a full-timeand bonus eligible position.
