Responsibilities As a Lead Engineer at Hines, you will operate and maintain building systems, troubleshoot failures, and lead a team in daily operations.
Your key responsibilities include:
Perform maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems such as pumps, chillers, boilers, air compressors, and air handling units.
Maintain operation logs for central plant, chemical usage, and other inspections. HVAC controls knowledge to adjust and resolve work orders.
Maintain professional relations with contractors and tenants.
Collaborate with the operation staff and support emergency procedures, including evacuations, bomb searches, and life safety alarms.
Follow safety policies and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Understand and modify building system components, and plan for long-term maintenance and budgeting.
Support daily needs of the maintenance team across various areas such as lighting, electrical, plumbing, and decor.
Lead by example in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in the shop area.
Qualifications Minimum requirements include: High school diploma or equivalent.
At least three years of experience as a Building Engineer or in a similar facilities role.
