Multiple shifts availableWhat this job involves -The OperatingEngineer, Critical Environments, will have a strong focus onoperating, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing facilityequipment on all systems. Individuals are expected to demonstratetechnical expertise in one craft area (Electrical, HVAC,Piping/Plumbing, Central Utility Plant Operations) and bemulti-skilled in others in order to successfully completedaily/weekly work assignments. What is your day to day? Task willinclude but not be limited to: Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performingpreventive maintenance and continuous operation of all data centersystems to maintain 100% Up-time including: fire/life safety,mechanical systems such as (HVAC, chillers, crac, crah, plumbing,controls), electrical including emergency backup systems such as(lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear,power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems. Monitors operation, adjusts, and maintains refrigeration,chilled water, and air conditioning equipment; boilers, andventilating and water heaters; pumps, valves, piping, and filters;other mechanical and electrical equipment. Must record readings and make and adjust where necessary toensure proper operation of equipment. Monitor building management systems and respond to alarms andalerts promptly. Requires the ability to analyze the operation of varioussystems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and takecorrective action as required Comply with departmental policy for the safe storage, usage,and disposal of hazardous materials. Maintains a clean and safeworkplace. Learn and understand the data center site in-order to manageincidents and events that put the critical systems at risk. Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, andCustomer Facing Tickets. Understanding and complying with emergency escalationprocedures. Perform additional job duties as required.
Desired experienceand technical skills Required High School diploma or GED equivalent 4+ years related work experience. Systems, emergency generators, and switchgears. Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures,or governmental regulations and codes. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before small groups of tenants orfellow employees. Working knowledge or the capability of developing proficientknowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Outlook and MicrosoftAccess and any other software packages. Must be able to professionally interact with tenants andcontractors. Must be able to work different schedules. Must be able to work Holidays. Must be able to respond to site emergencies.

Hands-on experience working in a data center/critical facility,including UPS.Physical Requirements Walking large, campus-like settings. Frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting,stooping, and working/extending overhead. Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to accessequipment. Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights & ability toclimb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit.
