Job Description

The successful candidate for this position will serve as a Discipline Lead or Area Lead with responsibility for plumbing scope on assigned projects.

Job duties include:
  • Develop and review project Scope of Services, Scope of Facilities, and other project baseline documents to meet project requirements and goals
  • Develop and routinely monitor/maintain estimates, schedules, staffing forecasts, and progress
  • Develop/review project design criteria based on applicable local codes and client standards
  • Prepare/check design calculations, specifications, and engineering drawings and ensure that they address all relevant project and regulatory requirements
  • Participate in activities associated with equipment and material procurement, inspection, testing, acceptance, installation, and commissioning
  • Provide technical support in the development of permitting and subcontracting packages
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in areas of expertise.
  • Assist in training and development of less experienced engineers and designers including performance appraisal input and career coaching
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Mechanical degree or Architectural Engineering degree with focus in mechanical building systems
  • Professional registration (PE License) in mechanical or other relevant engineering field
  • Ability to supervise and lead a diverse design team to work effectively with both internal and external organizations
  • Data center industry experience
  • Semiconductor & microelectronics industry experience
  • Life sciences & pharma industry experience
  • Drawing and modeling experience using AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or Smart 3D
  • Practical field experience related to the installation, start-up, and commissioning of plumbing systems
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience working in an engineering design firm developing plumbing construction documents
