Job Summary:

ICT is looking for an entry level Plumbing Designer to join our team! A Plumbing Designer will apply their experience to draft and review drawings and designs. If you think you are a great fit, keep reading and apply!

Core Competencies:

Follow established design procedures and maintain company standards. Accept direction from Engineer of Record (EOR), project manager and direct supervisor. Maintain a positive team attitude. Apply experience reviewing drawings, ensuring quality control standards are maintained. Design & draft plumbing systems using Autodesk Revit. Edit, modify, write project specifications and basis of design narratives. Utilize pump laws to calculate volumetric flow, static pressure, power requirements, etc. Calculate total dynamic head (TDH) in open and closed systems. Demonstrate proficiency applying pertinent plumbing codes and recognized design standards (IPC, UPC, ASPE, ASHRAE 90.1, etc.). Perform construction administration duties including RFI response, submittal, shop drawing review, and on-site field observation. Design of grease waste and acid waste systems, medical gas systems, and fire suppression systems.

Qualifications:

An associate’s degree in CAD Design or a bachelor’s degree in engineering technology (or a related field) is preferred. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered. Experience with Autodesk based design platform such as Revit or AutoCAD preferred.
