Manufacturing Ridgeland, SC Job Summary The Engineering Liaison will be a valuable part of our engineering team, ensuring there is a direct connection between assembly, purchasing and engineering and that products are being built in the best possible way with safety and quality in mind. Duties and Responsibilities Be the point of contact for all engineering related questions and/or issues raised by production or purchasing. Attempt to resolve issues with engineering designs and bills of material raised by production or purchasing. Create and maintain an issue log database so that mistakes, incompatibilities, etc. are not repeated on future builds. Develop solutions for customer orders, as needed. Develop solutions for engineering change requests (ECR), as needed. Generate and administer engineering deviations, as needed. Assist the manufacturing engineering team with tooling development. Actively participate in daily production meetings to report on engineering design status’ related to current production builds, document and communicate engineering related issues raised during the meeting to appropriate engineering team members. Actively participate in continuous improvement activities within the departments. Required Skills & Abilities Strong 3D CAD skills, Solidworks experience is preferred. Good problem-solving skills. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, Ability to commit to flexible schedule. Must be able to participate in Lean principles and continuous improvement activities. Education & Experience Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering preferred. Minimum 2 years’ work-related experience. Experience in vehicle design and/or production, preferred. Experience in supporting manufacturing environment, preferred. Working conditions This position primarily operates in an office environment but may also require work in warehouse settings. PPE is required only for warehouse and production floors.
