The ideal candidate must be a motivated self-starter,able to complete assignments with little oversight while beingavailable as a subject matter expert and technical lead to theirteam. They must be able to assume a full or partial lead role ascircumstances dictate and be able to quickly and dynamically switchfocus to accommodate the daily activities of an engineering teamsupporting a production environment. This individual should becomfortable providing accurate technical status to programmanagement or direction to individual contributors as part of theirjob function, as well as interfacing with other engineeringdisciplines as necessary. The Test Engineer should have a strongbackground in Software, Electrical or Computer Engineering, andpossess a demonstrated ability in designing, developing, debugging,integrating, and deploying complex automated test systems, testapplications, documentation, and Commercial Instrumentation fortesting Military Comms, Navigation, and Electronic Warfareequipment.
Because this role involves a combination ofcollaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the formof a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite andremotely.• Please note that pursuant to a government contract, thisspecific position requires US citizenship status.
RequiredEducation, Experience, & Skills Experienced in architecting, designing, analyzing/derivingrequirements, coding and code modification, integration, andsell-off of test software for analog, digital, RF, and hybridmodules at board level, system level, and subsystems level usingcommercial and custom test measurement equipment. Experience in C/C#, National Instrument (NI) Test Stand,Python, and CVI software development environments. Experience in evaluating and debugging test solution toidentify product design flaws. Experience in developing instrument drivers, utilities, testexecutives, and test software used to support testing andverification activities for system development, production, andsustainment testing activities. Experience in developing documentation for test requirements,test design, test plan, and operating procedures for acceptancetest and environmental stress screening applications. Experienced in using test instrumentation such as NetworkAnalyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generators, Microwave/RFmeasurements etc. Familiar with basic RF testing concepts such as VSWR, Gain,Compression, Phase Noise etc. Experience in HW debugging (test adapters, cables, tools, andinterface modules) Motivated, self-starter, good communication skills, teamplayer, and “can-do” attitude. Must be able to obtain a US Secret ClearancePreferredEducation, Experience, & Skills Experience in factory production test stands, problem isolationand resolution. Experienced in developing RF test measurements forproduction. Familiar with boundary scan tools and software Familiar with FPGA programming and debugging.
