Engineer Position Available In Suffolk, New York

Akkodis is seeking an Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Holtsville, NY . Candidates must have hands-on experience with battery management systems, high-density board layout, and proficiency in tools like Cadence Allegro and lab instrumentation.

Rate Range:

$47/hour to $49/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Engineer job responsibilities include:

Design and develop embedded systems using microprocessors, analog/digital circuits, and battery management technologies. Create and review schematics and high-density PCB layouts, ensuring functionality and manufacturability. Utilize CAD tools (e.g., Cadence Allegro) and lab equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies) for circuit design, testing, and debugging. Integrate and validate embedded communication protocols such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and MIPI. Collaborate on high-volume product development, applying design-for-manufacturing and reliability best practices. Support EMC compliance and troubleshooting, including ESD and EMI mitigation strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; master’s degree preferred. Minimum 5+ years with a bachelor’s degree or 4+ years with a master’s degree in embedded systems or hardware design. Strong experience in embedded microprocessor systems, analog/digital circuit design, and schematic capture using tools like Cadence Allegro. Pay Details:
