This role requires a strong understanding of engineering principles, as well as the ability to lead, mentor, and develop team members. The ideal candidate will possess a solid background in safety regulations and compliance, ensuring that all projects adhere to OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and workers’ compensation laws. Responsibilities Lead and manage a team of engineers in the design, development, and fabrication of projects. Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation laws, and EPA standards throughout all engineering processes. Develop training programs focused on occupational health and safety (EHS) to enhance team knowledge and skills. Conduct regular safety audits and assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project objectives are met on time and within scope. Facilitate communication between team members, stakeholders, and management to ensure alignment on project goals. Mentor junior engineers by providing guidance on technical issues and career development opportunities. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to engineering. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Proven experience in an engineering leadership role with a focus on safety compliance. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation law, EPA standards, and EHS practices. Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred. Experience in training development for engineering teams is highly desirable. Ability to fabricate components or systems as needed for projects. Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly. Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on innovative solutions.
