Job Description
Fire Protection Engineer 4.0 4.0 out of 5 stars College Park, GA 30337 • Hybrid work We are looking for an innovative Fire Protection Engineer that conducts assessments and predicts fire hazards and risks for new and existing FAA structures. Conducts site inspections, testing and operation of fire detection and fire suppression apparatus. Provides scope and estimates for projects and contract modifications. Maintains project budget and schedule, which involves coordination with contractors, PIMs and national programs offices. Estimates, manages, and accounts for funding of assigned projects. Coordinates with internal and external project stakeholders to address construction and/or installation issues for Engineering Services. Schedules, participates, and tracks project inspections including interim technical inspections, Construction Acceptance Inspections, and Joint Acceptance Inspections. Responsible for coordinating with local SECMs and maintenance technicians to provide professional engineering solutions to repair, modernize, operate and install fire suppression and fire reporting systems in new and existing FAA structures. They should have experience with AutoCAD and be able to utilize strong design skills in order to create visual aids. By utilizing strong organizational and communication skills, this candidate will also have the ability to execute a project based on the criteria outlined.
