What you’ll be doing Developing process plans for production lines within the powertrain department with direct support from the Manager. Directly supporting other engineers or technicians through mentorship. Leading the cost planning, budget creation, machine specification, procurement, validation, installation, pre-productions trials and launch of production lines. Creating and maintaining detail schedule and budget for assigned area. Participate in cross functional working groups across the local facility and corporate departments to achieve project goals. Participate in a mentor program to grow as an engineer and learn from others within the department.

Added bonus if you have Our Client Production Engineering experience in; Assembly, Machining, Paint, Welding, Stamping PLC experience, including the ability to investigate and troubleshoot Experience and/or exposure to powertrain manufacturing processes Experience and/or exposure to Our Client Business Practices problem solving Equipment installation and validation What you bring Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering or similar technical field or 5+ years of automotive engineering experience Experience in production preparation of manufacturing and experience in execution of capital projects, preferably from initial planning to start of production. (1 year Required) Experience creating and implementing assembly processes in a manufacturing environment (1 year Required) Experience with detail schedule creation and utilization for capital projects greater than •K (1 year Required) AutoCad experience, including the ability to read, interpret and modify 2D drawings Ability to support weekends, off shift, and holidays as needed Ability to work plant scheduled shutdown times each year (December) Ability for business travel, both domestic and international may be up to 50% Ability for business travel to other North American sites to support future projects
