We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Lead to serve as the focal for industrial engineering at our Windsor Locks, CT facility. In this role, you will be a working indirect leader of a team of junior engineers responsible for driving site initiatives and goals. You will interfaces with senior leadership, program management, technical experts, and functional leadership to drive performance improvements. You will also conducts studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, lead time reduction, and production record systems while providing direct shop floor support including capacity planning, variation analyses, productivity improvements and cell design.
What You Will Do
Utilize lean tools and methodology to drive performance improvements and minimize waste within manufacturing processes.
Makes modifications to processes in order to enhance the effectiveness of Industrial Engineering.
Influence a team of professional Industrial Engineers and technical and administrative support staff to ensure that Industrial engineering operations are completed on-time, within budget, and as per the set goals.
Regulate and alter workflow schedules according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times to expedite production operations.
Direct workers engaged in product measurement, inspection, and testing activities to ensure quality control and reliability
Work cross functionally to achieve success and support site level improvements targets and macro plan milestones
Collaborate vertically and horizontally across the business to increase throughput, decrease days to manufacture and improve efficiency
Establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel
Qualifications You Must Have
Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience
Qualifications We Prefer
Prior aerospace or other manufacturing industry experience
Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related experience is preferred
Experience applying continuous improvement principles in a production setting (LEAN, ACE, SixSigma, etc.)
Object oriented coding experience (e.g., Visual Studio, Visual Basic, Python, R)
SAP or other ERP system experience is preferred

    The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD
  • 164,000 USD.

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
