POSITION SUMMARY

We are seeking a talented Engineer to join our dynamic team. Inthis role, you will leverage your expertise in quantum engineeringto develop innovative solutions that meet our customers’manufacturing needs while contributing to our mission ofexcellence. Selected candidate would be responsible for the design,development, and implementation of printing technologies within anorganization. They focus on improving printing processes, ensuringquality control, and researching and adopting new printingtechniques. This role requires a deep understanding of variousprinting methods, equipment, and materials, along with strongproblem-solving skills to address technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities:
Printing System Implementation and Optimization:

Research, develop, and implement printing technologies to meetproduction needs and enhance print quality. Optimize existing printing processes (e.g., digital, screen, pad,offset) for improved performance and cost-efficiency. Lead projects to integrate new technologies and equipment intoproduction lines.

Research and Development:

Research emerging printing technologies and industry trends toensure the organization stays competitive and innovative. Test and evaluate new printing materials (e.g., inks, substrates)and technologies to improve the quality and efficiency of printproduction. Lead R D efforts to develop proprietary printing methods orenhance existing techniques.

Process Improvement and Efficiency:

Implement process improvements to streamline printing workflows,reduce waste, and improve turnaround times. Utilize lean manufacturing techniques and Six Sigma methodologiesto optimize print production processes. Work closely with operations to ensure smooth transitions betweenpre-press, press, and post-press operations.

Quality Control and Standardization:

Ensure the printing process adheres to strict quality standards andspecifications. Work with quality to develop and enforce quality control measuresfor print production, including color management, print accuracy,and consistency. Review print outputs and make adjustments as needed to meet clientand company requirements.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Coordination:

Collaborate with designers, production managers, and engineers toensure print projects are completed to specifications. Train and mentor production staff in new technologies and processesto improve overall skill levels and operational knowledge. Provide technical expertise and guidance during the planning andexecution of print production projects.

Troubleshooting and Technical Support:

Assist operations with technical support and troubleshooting forprinting equipment and systems. Assist in the investigation to resolve production issues related toequipment, materials, and technology. Perform root-cause analysis for recurring technical problems anddevelop solutions to prevent them.

Equipment Maintenance and Management:

Train maintenance personnel on the calibration of printingmachinery to ensure optimal performance. Work with the maintenance team to establish preventativemaintenance schedules and reduce downtime. Evaluate new equipment for purchase, ensuring it meets technicaland budgetary requirements.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Printing Technology, Mechanical Engineering,Chemical Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience (3-5 years) in printing technology, engineering,or a related field. In-depth knowledge of printing processes (e.g., digital, offset,pad, screen printing) and printing equipment. Experience with color management, quality control, and printtroubleshooting. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complextechnical challenges. Proficiency in printing software, and equipment managementsystems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectivelywith teams.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with automated printing systems. Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, andenvironmental compliance in printing. Lean Six Sigma or other process improvement certification. Knowledge of pre-press and post-press processes.

Work Environment:

Works in a printing or manufacturing environment with exposure toprinting equipment, materials, and chemicals.
