Quality Control Engineer Job Description The Sr. Quality Engineer will lead and implement various compliance processes and activities associated with the AS9100 Quality Management System including the Internal Audit process, Corrective and Preventive Action process (CAPA), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and promote continuous improvement. Responsibilities Lead internal audits to meet planned internal audit schedule and participate in 3rd-party audits as required. Manage supplier qualification, maintain the approved supplier list, conduct auditing, and execute corrective actions. Perform supply chain evaluations to ensure suppliers meet on-time delivery (OTD) and quality requirements; conduct supplier audits when required. Interface with supplier quality representatives to address quality assurance issues and ensure effective corrective actions are implemented. Manage Supplier Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and update supplier scorecards. Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators, including updating metrics and scorecards. Serve as the primary Quality Assurance resource for guidance on root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and monitoring the CAPA process. Assist in developing and implementing methods for process control and continuous process improvement. Participate in Kaizen events. Report to management on quality issues, trends, and risk assessment. Commit to comply with the requirements of the Quality System Manual. Continually improve the quality management system and its effectiveness. Qualifications Minimum of 6 years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Quality Management position. Experience with Internal Auditing. Experience with AS9100 Standard or ISO standard. Broad knowledge of theory and process control methods and techniques. Experience with CAPA/root cause analysis. Bachelor’s degree in engineering science, manufacturing, or related field preferred, but not required. AS9100 Lead Auditor credentials are a plus. Six Sigma Green/Black Belt is a plus.
