Description:
You will be the Supplier Quality Engineer for the Quality Team. Our team is responsible for implementing quality principles across various areas, including design, production control, and research and development, to ensure the highest standards of product or process quality.
What You Will Be Doing:
As the Supplier Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for applying technical expertise to evaluate product requirements, specifications, and designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues. You will play a key role in ensuring that quality standards are met and that corrective measures are implemented to improve internal and supplier performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Performing technical evaluations of products and processes Collaborating with program management, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams on quality-related issues Conducting product failure investigations and material review board decisions Developing strategies to improve internal and supplier performance and productivity Designing and analyzing inspection and testing processes Engaging in supplier selection and certification programs

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a STEM discipline or higher with a minimum of 2 years of professional experience The position requires about 10-25% travel within the United States Ability to obtain a security clearance Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings Experience working in a cross functional environment Experience in Quality Engineering processes Root Cause Analysis experience (Cause Mapping, 5-Why, Fishbone, etc.) Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to AS9102 and working with government customers
Desired Skills:
Experience in Quality Management Systems, Industry Standards and LM command media e.g., AS9100, ISO-9001, IPC and J-STD Experience performing complete root cause/corrective and/or preventive action as related to internal and external customers and supplier performance Working knowledge of continuous improvement Strong communication skills Six Sigma Green Belt certification
