Automation Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to join our team in a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to manufacturing high-precision drug delivery devices, surgical tools, and industrial products. This position offers a unique opportunity to be part of the initial growth phase of our US manufacturing site. Responsibilities Install, maintain, improve, and troubleshoot production equipment and automations to ensure products meet quality standards. Design production processes, schedules, and specifications to maximize efficiency and reduce waste. Implement new processes and equipment, ensuring operational readiness of production machines and automations. Lead troubleshooting activities and manage process documentation, including equipment drawings, manuals, and schematics. Develop and implement process improvements and technological upgrades. Conduct efficiency improvement activities through continuous improvement initiatives. Maintain high quality standards through on-the-floor interaction with employees. Train staff on new processes and provide work instructions and manuals. Lead corrective actions to find solutions and improvements for production problems. Manage cost optimization and reduction initiatives. Provide engineering support to the operations team to achieve business goals. Ensure all business activities conform to local laws, regulations, and company policies. Ensure compliance with environmental protection, fire prevention, and occupational health and safety regulations. Essential Skills 5+ years of experience in automation and manufacturing environments. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering. Proficiency in automation systems, particularly Allen-Bradley PLCs. Experience with ISO and/or

ISO 9001

standards, vision systems, and robotics. Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in the medical device industry is highly preferred. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to lead a team and work in an interruption-prone environment. Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong team and leadership mentality, with a focus on quality and attention to detail. Excellent interpersonal skills and complex problem-solving capabilities. Commitment to workplace safety and ability to work independently. Ability to work well with subordinates, peers, superiors, and external contacts. Work Environment This position is located in a brand-new, clean facility in Flowery Branch, which will eventually be FDA regulated. The site supports the production of drug delivery, healthcare, and industrial products, with potential future expansion into consumer products. The facility is equipped with state-of-the-art automated machines and advanced robotics, providing a dynamic and innovative work environment.
