Our client is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to join their high-performing team at a key facility in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. What You’ll Do:
Lead and optimize daily plant operations in a continuous chemical manufacturing environment Drive process improvements focused on yield, throughput, and reliability Troubleshoot production issues and reduce unplanned downtime Partner with cross-functional teams in maintenance, EHS, and quality Provide technical input on polymer processing (e.g., extrusion, reaction, compounding) Support capital projects including process design and equipment upgrades Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (OSHA PSM, ISO, etc.) Mentor junior engineers and support workforce training initiatives ?
What We’re Looking For:
B.S. in Chemical Engineering (advanced degree a plus) 7+ years’ experience in a production or process engineering role Polymer or plastics manufacturing experience strongly preferred Solid understanding of chemical processing equipment, DCS/PLC systems, and process controls Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies Strong problem-solving and leadership skills ????
