Certification Ammonia refrigeration Power generation systems Pneumatic systems CARO Full Job Description E&E Foods in search of a seasonal 1st engineer for our rural Coffee Point salmon processing plant in Egegik, AK. This role requires patience, flexibility, and a desire to work as hard as the situation demands. Must have the ability to understand and follow all instructions and safety rules. Self-directed, well organized and comfortable in a diverse living and working environment. Willing to work in a remote location under, at times, challenging conditions.

JOB DESCRIPTION

The primary responsibility of the 1st engineer is to assist in the management but not limited to the plant powerhouse, refrigeration, generator, hydraulic and pneumatic systems. You will collaborate with the Chief Engineer and troubleshoot electrical and control systems, and ensure the successful operation and maintenance of all generating facilities. Must have an Operator 2 license or above with 5 years ammonia experience and either RETA or CARO certification.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES REQUIRED

Minimum 3 years professional 1st engineer experience preferred. Powerhouse, refrigeration, generator, hydraulic and pneumatic experience is required. 1. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain processing and plant equipment 2. Forklift Certification to assist in transporting heavy equipment for repair and maintenance 3. Perform emergency repair of processing and plant equipment 4. Perform scheduled maintenance of processing and plant equipment, diagnose areas of needed repair 5. Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform maintenance and repair work 6. Perform a variety of plumbing and carpentry maintenance 7. Responsible for a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and materials 8. Follows all company safety policies and procedures. 9. Responds to change productively and handles other duties as required. 10. Assist with the Maintenance of the Ammonia system 11. Assist with the management of

Assist with the management of CMMS (emaint) 13. Must have a Operator 2 license or above with 5 years ammonia experience and either RETA or CARO certification.

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT

is weather dependent: ranging from warm and sunny to cold, windy and wet. Working outdoors in a remote environment is not an experience for everyone, and candidates should understand their limitations. NATURE & HOURS OF WORK

The season runs from early May to early-mid August. You will be required to be available to work 12-hour days, 7 days a week.

LIVING CONDITIONS

Our seafood processing facilities are a very remote part in Alaska. Housing is dormitory-style, and you may share a room with other people. There are no health care options readily accessible. There is no cellphone signal and limited internet available. Communication is very limited.

SALARY & BENEFITS
