Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Principal/Sr. Principal Engineer Supplier Quality to join the Supplier Mission Assurance team. This position will require on-site major supplier surveillance and is a telecommuter position. This position will be telecommuter for South East US locations. What You’ll Get To Do:

In this position, the employee will be responsible for the quality of the products provided by the supplier. Responsible for Supplier Quality risk management develops and implements supplier quality evaluation and control systems. Assures supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance. Interfaces directly with supplier personnel and must be knowledgeable in and capable of assessing both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures. Conducts product and process verification activities, monitors supplier quality performance, and drives root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues. Manages supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process. Keeps management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks. Coordinates and oversees Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases. Actively engages in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs. Basic Qualifications:
Principal Engineer Supplier Quality:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field and 5 or more years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree and 3 or more years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 1 year experience. Sr.

Principal Engineer Supplier Quality:

Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field and 8 or more years of relevant experience, OR a Master’s degree and 6 or more years of relevant experience, or a PhD with 4 years experience. Experience developing, planning, and/or implementing quality methods and strategies Experience interfacing with suppliers, customers, work associates/teams, and/or management. Manufacturing/engineering experience Experience with

AS9100/ISO9001

auditing requirements Must be able to travel up to 50% of the time Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Government DoD security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

Demonstrated written and verbal interpersonal and communication skills Ability to apply problem solving/critical thinking skills to support and resolve issues at the supply base Extensive experience working with aerospace/defense industry suppliers onsite. General experience with special processes Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action Six Sigma or Lean certifications

Active Secret Clearance Salary Range:

$91,200.00 – $136,800.00Salary Range 2: $113,500.00 – $170,300.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
